Twitter Is Going to Increase Long-Form Tweets to 10K Characters & Add Simple Formatting Tools

Twitter is going to increase long-form tweets to 10,000 characters, said Elon Musk. In addition, simple formatting tools and an easier way for writers to charge subscription fees for premium content will be added.

Twitter continues to grow at a rapid pace. The company is constantly adding and improving new features to make using the platform extremely convenient and enjoyable. Among other things, Twitter is working to become a place where content creators can develop and monetize their content. Elon Musk announced that soon writers will see significant improvements on the platform that will enable them to write and earn income from their work on Twitter.

One of the big improvements that will be rolling out soon is an increase in the number of characters for tweets. Their length was previously increased to 4,000 from 280, but now a larger increase is planned. Musk said that Twitter would allow 10,000-character tweets to be posted, potentially having a huge positive impact.

Previously, Twitter was a short messaging platform. However, Musk decided that Twitter should take a more significant position in the information space. While the platform has increasingly become a source of news, long-form tweets allow articles to be posted directly to Twitter. This means that users will not be forced to leave the platform to read articles. This in turn means they will spend more time on Twitter.

Along with the increase in characters, Twitter will also provide simple formatting tools. This is a must for writers who can publish text beautifully and be able to highlight important parts of it. Simple formatting also makes texts more attractive and easier to read.

In addition, Musk said that Twitter will also ensure writers can charge subscription fees for premium content in a much easier way. Combined with all the updates that have been announced, this will give a new meaning to the use of Twitter for writers. With all these tools, there is no need to use other websites to publish content—especially given that writers will be able to earn money directly on Twitter.
