Tesla hit a new quarterly record for deliveries and production in Q1 2023, showing productivity gains. The company will post its financial results after the market close on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

For the automotive market, Q1 2023 was difficult. While other automakers were mulling over how to retain customers, Tesla began to fight for them, significantly reducing the prices of its electric vehicles around the world. The strategy turned out to be correct, and the Texas manufacturer was able to increase the number of deliveries in Q1 2023, reaching a new record. Tesla delivered 422,875, higher than the previous record in Q4 2022 with 405,278 units. Of these, 412,180 were Model 3/Y and 10,695 were Model S/X.

In addition, the company also achieved a new production record with 440,808 electric vehicles built in Q1 2023, up 44.2% compared to Q1 2022. Of these, 421,371 were Model 3/Y and 19,437 were Model S/X. The company said it continued to transition towards a more even regional mix of vehicle builds, including Model S/X vehicles in transit to EMEA and APAC.

Tesla will post its financial results for the first quarter of 2023 after the market close on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. At that time, Tesla will issue a brief advisory containing a link to the Q1 2023 update, which will be available on Tesla’s Investor Relations website.
