Elon Musk Warns: Manipulating Creator Compensation Program on X to Be Punished

Elon Musk and X warn users that manipulation in the Creator Compensation Program will be punished. The platform has taken precautionary measures and will strictly control the integrity of all creators.

Elon Musk wrote that X will take strict action against Ad Share Revenue members who try to manipulate the platform. He said that accounts that do this will be suspended.

In the post, X explained that in recent days, its team has stepped up measures to prevent manipulation of the platform with monetization features. As a result, several large accounts were found to be breaking the rules and fraudulently boosting their impressions. As an example, X named @historyinmemes account, which has 3.2 million followers. Given that the account was caught in violation, it remains unknown how many of these followers are real.

X caught @historyinmemes on “selling/purchasing Post or account metric inflation – selling or purchasing followers or engagements (Reposts, Likes, mentions, X Poll votes).” As a result, the account has been temporarily suspended. However, this appears to have been a demonstration that X can spot unscrupulous users and punish them if necessary.
