Tesla Wins Case Against Swedish Transport Agency, Which Supported Strike

Tesla won a case against the Swedish Transport Agency, which supported the anti-Tesla strike in the country. They are now required to fulfill their obligations to the company or pay a fine of approximately $96,000.

Earlier on Monday, Tesla sued the Swedish Transport Agency after its postal workers stopped delivering license plates for the company’s vehicles. The case was quickly reviewed and a decision was made immediately. Tesla’s request was granted: the company can obtain its license plates from the Swedish Transport Agency. If the Swedish Transport Agency does not agree to hand over the license plates within seven days, it will face a fine of one million kronor (about $96,000). The decision was made by the Norrköping District Court on Monday afternoon.

“It’s true that a decision was made in which they approved Tesla’s lawsuit,” lawyer Johannes Eriksson told Aftonbladet (via @SawyerMerritt/X).

The Swedish Transport Agency supported the anti-Tesla strike organized by the country’s largest trade union. The IF Metall union is trying to force Tesla to sign a collective agreement. The majority of the company’s employees are satisfied with their working conditions and do not support the strike. However, the union continues to put pressure on Tesla’s suppliers and force them to stop serving the company. Winning this case is an excellent signal highlighting the illegitimacy of the union’s actions.
