Tesla Giga Berlin receives EMAS environmental certification

Tesla Giga Berlin has received EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) environmental certification and intends to continue working in the field of sustainability. The factory will continue to expand the use of photovoltaic systems, reduce water consumption, and plant trees in the region.

According to Tesla, water consumption is currently around four and a half cubic meters per vehicle, which is significantly below the industry average in Germany. Further measures include a closed-loop wastewater treatment system, which will have a huge positive impact. In addition, the reforestation of more than two million trees will be actively continued.
